Following on from this post where I suggested Clarence Mitchell was looking for another job, the Daily Telegraph has since published this little snippet.
McCanns spokesman Clarence Mitchell ponders PR move
As Kate and Gerry McCann return from their first family holiday since their daughter Madeleine disappeared 14 months ago, their spokesman Clarence Mitchell is in talks to join a PR agency where he plans to help other parents who have lost children to deal with the media.
The former BBC reporter, has already advised the parents of Jimmy Mizen, the 16-year-old schoolboy murdered in London in May, and Fiona MacKeown, the mother of 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling, who was murdered in Goa in February.
Thus far Mitchell has assisted on a pro bono basis, but, as the requests for his expertise mount up, he is mulling his options.
“I’m happy to help anyone in the eye of a media storm, but I need to put myself on a firm financial footing,” he says.
“I should stress, however, that there’s absolutely no question of me abandoning Kate and Gerry McCann”.
UPDATE: I was just checking Google to see if they had picked up this story on my blog. For once I was not disappointed because the top slot was taken up by this little gem…
UPDTED UPDATE: The link no longer shows this is just as well I captured it on another open window
I can categorically state that there is no connection whatsoever.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Subject: Is this Clarence Mitchell one and the same?
I am attempting to establish if there is any connection between the Clarence Mitchell who is the media spokesman for the McCanns and your agency.
Could you please enlighten me?
